Avent Nipple Flow Rates

I too have a question about nipple flow rates. My three month old is currently drinking 5 oz formula bottles in about 10 minutes using a #1 nipple. That seems fast enough, but I don't know. He also screams if I try to burp him before he's finished. Will chaning the flow rate help with this?
