We will be moving in less than 2 weeks and I have a fairly large stash of EBM in my upright deep freeze. My question is this: do I need to pack it in a cooler to transport it or will it be okay left in the freezer if that's the last thing to be put on the truck and the first thing off? The distance between houses will be about 15 minutes.

Any suggestions/tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to lose my precious stash!

Thanks!

I would stick it in a cooler and drive it over myself. If there is a lag between when you can personally get there, maybe a friend can hold it for you in their freezer?

It should be okay if you are sure it will be the first thing off and you can plug it in right away. Maybe tape the door shut so everyone knows not to open the door.

During the blackout last year, mine was in the freezer with no power for about 8 hours before I decided to move it to a friend's house and it was fine.
