Motilium AKA Domperidone to help supply

Has anyone here tried Motilium AKA Domperidone for supply issues. I have seen several people recommend it on message boards. I tried Reglan and had horrible side effects, so I've thought of trying this. I'm just scared I might have another horrible experience. Has anyone had any bad experiences with this? I've tried every suggestion for increasing supply without meds and nothing has helped...Funugreek...Blessed Thistle...oatmeal...water...etc...etc. TIA

I haven't used it and don't know anyone personally who has, but I know it is very well spoken of on Lactnet, which is mostly IBCLCs, some lay breastfeeding counselors and physicians.

I have used it as have many mothers in my situation (breastfeeding after breast reduction surgery) with great success.

You may run into problems obtaining it as the FDA has arbitrarily decided that it is not safe for lactating mothers. Many in the lactation community (whom I trust more than the FDA) have spoken out, affirming that domperidone (or dpd for short) is safe and effective.

I'm using it right now. The only side effect I've experienced is the suppresion of my AF. It had started back at 4 months and then when I started taking it at around 10 months I stopped getting it again.

I am also having supply issues and have ordered some Domperidone after it was recommended by both the LC's I saw. I hope that it arrives Ok as I am really hoping it will help me out with my supply problems!
