My DD really enjoys feeding herself snacks, and I think really would like to eat more food that she can chew up and feed to herself. Two issues come up for me, one she has constipation issues, and two she has no teeth. I thought scrambled eggs would be a good choice but don't want her to get backed up from them.

Any thoughts?

Eggs are considered a high allergen food. I would hold off until at least a year on eggs, longer if you have any family history of allergic disease (allergy (food or non-food), asthma, or eczema).

Some finger food ideas for that age (9.5-10 mos?):

Puffed cereal
Oatios (or cheerios if you have already introduced wheat
Rice chex
peas
green beans - canned no salt added are very soft
sweet potato, winter squash - bake/microwave and cut in small chunks
carrots - cook very soft and dice or buy the preshredded and steam them
zucchini/summer squash - either - dice and steam or grate raw
grated apple - I peel it then used the largest holes on the box grater
banana - roll small pieces in baby cereals to make them easier to pick up
avacado - same as for banana
ground meat (chicken, turkey, beef) - browned and crumbled

HTH!

DD had no teeth until right before her first birthday. The list o_mom gave you is great. You'd be amazed at the food those gums can chew. We did do egg yolks at about 8 months but now at age 2, we're just figuring out she has an egg allergy so I'm a little irritated that I didn't wait.
