Please no debates on what AGE you started giving your DC solids. I am interested in knowing how long after s/he started solids that you went up to 2 feedings a day. I cannot for the life of me remember how long we waited for Emma. Gracie is a little chunk & has taken very well to eating solids. She acts like she wants more & I'm wondering if we should add a second "meal" for her each day. She's getting a good 30+ ounces a day too. I can't believe I cannot remember what we did with Emma but I've been wracking my brain for a full day now & just can't remember how long we waited.

Hi Kristine,

We went to 2 solid feedings about a month after we started with solids. For the first month, we just did once per day.

Not sure what the "rule" or norm is, but that was what worked in our house.

Best,
Jill

Thanks Jill! That's about what I was thinking but you know how you just start second guessing yourself! :)

We went to 2 meals 2 months after starting solids, and 3 meals 3 months after. Started solids at 6 months, but DD really didn't get enthusiastic about them (and so I really didn't feed them every single day) until 7 months.

We're just starting 2 meals a day now. We've been doing solids for a little over a month. Over the past few weeks, he's become an enthusiastic eater, and will eat anything whenever it's offered.
