Fenugreek??

Just wondering if any of you have ever used fenugreek seed tablets to help with milk production? My daughter is 6 months old and I just got my first period and my milk has gone way down? If they worked for you, how many did you take a day?

When Amy was 9 weeks old she got RSV and stopped nursing for several days. I took fenugreek, 2 pills 3 times a day, until she was nursing well again.

Same here. 2 pills 3x a day. And be sure you are drinking a TON of water!!

When my supply was a little low, I took fenugreek (same amount as the PPs), but I also ate regular oatmeal, too. That sure did the trick!

Another fenugreek user. My Lac consultant said you could take up to 3 tabs 3x a day. I saw a difference in about 24 hrs.

You have to take enough that your sweat smells like maple syrup. I can't remember how much I took, but boy did I smell sweet! :)

I took fenugreek with DS and it helped but I hated that I had to take so many horse pills a day and walked around with a funky smell. This time with DD, I took Mother's Love More Milk Plus capsules and I felt that it worked way faster than just fenugreek alone. I was engorged after a day with no weird smell. I got it at Whole Foods (or you can order it on-line).

Fenugreek did nothing for me.

I pumped exclusively for 2 months, and my period came back, which caused my supply to drop drastically,
I took fenugreek 3pills 3 times a day. All it did was make me smell like a waffle.

but- I'm sure it's different for everyone.
