Normally DS poops once a day (with the occassion twice, or every other day), and it's a good firm or semi-firm consistency.
A few weeks ago he came down with a case of diarrhea....really messy, watery, muscusy, frequent poop. No other symptoms though....no fever, appetite fine, energy level normal, and still peeing normally so I wasn't worried about dehydration. This lasted almost two weeks gradually improving until back to normal.....or so I thought....started up again yesterday!
Anyone BTDT? I hate to haul him off to the doctor when I really don't think there's anything wrong with him...he's already been to the doctor's a lot this year (various specialists, 3YO exam,) and is developing a real dislike for the doctor's office.
From what I've read sometimes toddlers do just have this for no real reason.
My mom thinks I need to cut down on the applesauce and/or applejuice, but it's not like I've changed his diet....he normally has a 1/2 cup of applesauce (no sugar added) with lunch, and 4oz MAX of applejuice. He also has a banana everyday for breakfast (you'd think that would help).
Any thoughts are appreciated.
