Since Monday, DS will not eat any solids except for cheerios, toast, and a little applesauce. Before then, he was pretty good about eating a variety of foods, including lots of fruits and vegetables. He had just started sleeping through the night about two weeks before, but now he is waking up hungry in the middle of the night. My ped said not to worry just yet, but does anyone have any tips on how to get him to eat? I am worried that he has figured out that if he never eats veggies, he can always be rewarded with starchy cheerios, because I break down and give them to him once everything else ends up on the floor! Thanks for any help you can offer!

There's a very similar post down at the bottom of the page that got some great responses. Here's a link:

HAve you tried supplementing his finger foods with some baby food? Will he take it. We use ground up chicken and avocado mixed in with some babyfood fruit or veggie and then thicken it with baby cereal. It fills in any gaps and I know he's getting meat and fats. I notice if he doesn't get this concoction, he is hungrier sooner. We've reduced the amount he gets of this and increased the amounts of finger foods a great deal, but I still offer this if he wants it. It really seems to "stick to his ribs".

Thanks for the advice. Turns out he had a stomach bug or something, because this week he is back to normal, but I will keep your tips in mind for next time!
