Is this normal?

Please tell me this is just one her growth spurts... Right now DD is 12 days old. DD is one of those who falls asleep while eating(I read thats normal for her since she was born at 36.5 weeks). It usually takes DD 40 min. to 1 hour to eat, but the last few days, randomly during some feedings, DD doesn't want to stop eating. Two of the feedings actually lasted for almost 2 hours (with some burping breaks in between).. I'm getting used to BF, but when she has these nonstop feedings it just totally tires me out. Did anyone else experience this?


I'm going to the ped. tomorrow for her check up. I hope she's ok..

Normal, yes, exhausting, also yes. More suckling should mean that she's stimulating you to produce a good milk supply. As long as she's gaining weight well, its fine, and hopefully she'll shorten her feeds soon.

Very normal. And yes, totally exhausting.

Normal and very tiring! It will get better, I promise!

Sounds like my ds when he was that age. It is tough but you'll get through it. After 40-50 minutes I would usually dislodge ds and after a smidgen of fussing he would fall right to sleep.
