My 2 week old newborn son feeds around every 2 hours. He is always choking during my milk letdown. Any suggestions on how I can prevent him from choking? Thanks.

Try hand expressing a little milk until the letdown is over and then latching him on.

The trick I learned is to feed reclined. Get yourself comfy in a recliner or glider and lean back as much as possible. That way baby is working against gravity to get the milk out.

Yes, nurse him with your body slightly reclined. It slows the milk down. My dd chokes sometimes too and this helps tremendously! Or have the baby sit a little more upright. Seems to help my dd this way too.
