What do moms here do for hands-free pumping? When I pumped for E I used an elastic cord I bought at www.freexpressions.com and I loved it. I referred a friend to the website recently and apparently it no longer works. :( So, I'm looking for alternatives I can recommend to her.

TIA!

I used the Made by Moms pumping band. I bought it on babycenter.com back in 2003 and used it while I pumped at work for both kids. I think it cost ~ $35, but I pumped at work until both of my kids were about a year old, so it was well worth it.

I understand that some moms have good luck rigging something with ponytail holders or rubber bands looped around the horns and hooked onto nursing bra clasps. You could probably find info on how to do it here or on kellymom.com. HTH!

I just use a sports bra that I cut holes in. Works like a charm. It would only work for a pump kit where the flanges detach such as the PIS - probably wouldn't work with the Ameda.

There's also the rubber band method looping two rubber bands together. I there's a thread describing it on the Mothering boards.

Do you mean the easy expression hands-free pumping bra?

Just in case you did and maybe forgot the name! HTH!

Gaaah, I've loaned mine out, and I will FREAK now if I don't get it back!! There is a phone number on the website - 206-595-0755, though none of the links work.

Kellymom.com has pics of a homemade contraption using hair elastics:

I use the Easy Expression Bra/Bustier. It's great! You just zip it on and pump. You don't even have to remove your nursing bra. I bought mine from the hospital where I delivered. I don't know what I'd do without it.

nak

I contacted the owner and she said she is still in business. The site works fine with explorer, just not firefox or safari.

Oh, thank heavens. We're not even TTC yet, but maybe I should order a spare now just in case!

FWIW, I hated the Easy Expressions bustier with a passion. It was so uncomfortable, and squished me in all the wrong places. It wasn't stretchy or adjustable at all.
