View Full Version : EEK! Huge pic....

I posted in the lounge and put a JPEG pic in the text. It was enormous, so I edited it. I deleted the original attachment and then just put it in as a link. The link goes to a normal-sized pic, but the "footprint" from the original is still there and it makes everyone's posts too big for the screen. Is there a way to fix this so that I don't inconvenience everyone??? HELP!

Yes, edit your post and delete the link in the message body and then delete the attachment by clicking on the delete attachments link. below.

I am having a similar problem. Upon previewing my post I saw that the pic I was trying to post was huge. How do I resize it?

You have to resize it before you upload it to the web. Basically you want to use a photo program to resize it and then save it under a different name (so you don't overwrite the original). I like to reduce pictures to about 640x840 pixels. That seems to work really well. For avatars I usually reduce the image to a thumbnail which is about 96 pixels.
