Can't get avatar to stay...

I have the URL from the product review profile, and put it in the box where it asks in the profile part of the user menu here...and it shows up immediately, but then doesn't show up on my posts, and when I go back to the user menu profile page, it's missing the last part of the URL. So I add the last part in, hit update again, avatar shows on profile, I click away, etc. It just isn't sticking!

Please help! I want my cutie to show up! :)

lol, well the picture is there now.
you can make a tinyurl by entering it at tinyurl.com

i've had this happen to my ticker when my siggie was too long. I shortened the siggie and no more problems.
That's why I figured the tinyurl might be worth a shot.

Well, see, it works here in the text. But why won't it work over there on the right? All I see is a box with an X in it...

Using Tinyurl in the avatar Url box makes it say "Invalid avatar image"...

Maybe I'll just make it part of my sig instead of trying this avatar stuff.

I uploaded mine at lilypie.com and then just entered the img part of the code. If all else fails, you can go that route.
