View Full Version : (Final update below) Possible Via Toybox co-op/discount

09-26-2006, 01:39 PM
In "Around the House," there has been some interest in the Via toy boxes and storage systems. They are cute and look very well made. The best part is, they can be customized--you pick the number of boxes, configurations, colors and shapes of openings, whether you want doors, shelves, etc. There's even an adorable play kitchen!

I contacted the owner, and he might be able to offer a 10% discount, depending on the level of interest and the location of the people who are buying (he pointed out, in his e-mail, that they offer free shipping, and it costs them more to ship to certain areas of the country).

At any rate, if you think you might be interested, could you respond here (so I can get a rough count) and them PM me the following information:

user name
actual name
items interested in/quantity (for example, "set of six boxes"

I might be interested... I will PM you too.

So far I haven't gotten any PMs. Please do PM me if you are interested, just so I can get a head count and see if there's enough interest to warrant the discount. The owner wasn't so hot to trot, really. But when I told him it was a big message board, he said maybe and offered the 10%, depending on where he would be shipping to.

I have 2 PMs as of now. I don't know exactly how many people we'll need for the discount. Maybe 10?

So let's hang on a few more days and see if we get any more bites!

Thanks for your patience,

This is the first time I've seen them, but I would be interested.

I am very interested.

People who are interested, please PM me with your info. (how many boxes, etc. and city and state). The co-op isn't a sure thing. Depends on how much interest.

I didn't break any rules, did I? I'm just assessing interest.

I think that the pinned post was directed at me Lisa. I don't see any rules being broken by your post. Afterall that is why the board is here, for assessing interest.

I myself don't need these, but they are very interesting and look well built.

Bumping 1 more time:

Right now, I have: 4 PMs and 3 more who posted here that they might be interested. I don't know if that will be enough people. I want to make sure I have the maximum interested before I e-mail him again. If we had a huge group, maybe he'd offer more than 10%.

Keep in mind they have free shipping.

If you order from a place lik Pottery Barn, you'll pay shipping costs plus extra on top of that for heavy weight items.

PLEASE take a sec to PM me your info. if you haven't. If you don't want to give me your full name, fine. How about user name, city, state, and what you are interested in?

I am interested too, but I don't know how to PM.

Sorry. Will get back to all of you soon. I haven't forgotten. My older ds broke his arm at school, and we've been dealing with doctor visits, x-rays, a cast, etc.

I e-mailed the owner with the list I compiled. I will let you know a.) if there is enough interest to warrant a discount and b.) what the discount is.

Thanks for your patience. Again, we've been dealing with a little guy's broken arm and trying to paint a large basement!

Bad news: they did not respond to my message with the list of everyone and what they wanted to order. Maybe we didn't have a big enough group. I'm sorry! I tried! : (
