So what's everyone making for the 4th of July?

Our neighborhood has a parade and I was thinking of having a bunch of people over after the parade for some goodies. I have no idea what I am going to make though other than:

1) Raspberry, Blueberry, Strawberry, Blackberry Trifle w/angel food cake and cool whip

2) Blueberry and strawberry pancakes and waffles

3) Stawberry lemonade and Orange Juice

4) A big huge Migas Quiche.

What's everyone else cooking?

My parents' town has a great parade, too, so we're heading over before the parade for bagels and coffee, then having a cookout later in the day. My mom is very good with your picnic classics, such as potato or macaroni salad, deviled eggs, homemade slow-cooked baked beans, etc. I assume she'll make some of those goodies, for which my DH is eternally grateful, and I'll probably make dessert, though I don't know what, exactly. I was just looking at a recipe for a skillet pineapple upside down cake that looked really good, but I like your trifle idea.

In another year, I'd definitely be making mango margaritas, but it's not meant to be this time. Happy 4th!!

We're having friends over to swim and eat a pot luck supper. I am making a "pickin pork" - pulled pork that cooks for 7 hours, with my family's bbq sauce recipe. it is amazing.

Our 4th of July is going to be

Carne Asada on the grill, grilled vegis (zuchini, eggplant, bell peppers), fresh caught fried fish to make fish tacos, baked beans, corn on the cob, chips and salsa... and probably a couple of hotdogs on the grill for the kids who don't like Carne Asada!
