I made brownies to take to party DH and I are going to tonight. I have to say they turned out fantastic (Gheradelli's of course!). They are pretty gooey in the middle. No one can get e-colli, or something from the eggs, can they???

TIA!

This is how I make my Ghiradellis. I've served them tons of times and never had a problem. I think I cook them for about 30 mins...that seems to be plenty of time for one egg, don't you think? I did have the same thought, though, when someone posted a while back about brownies and I suggested to undercook them based on the cook time on the box.

I wouldn't worry about it. I always undercook mine-they are best that way. Not to mention that I love to eat the batter. But then I am not one to let a little salmonell get in the way of my batter... ;-)

Yeah, that thread was mine.

I think it may just be my oven but 30min was definitely too short for my taste. I like my brownies soft but not gooey in the center so I cooked them until a toothpick didn't come out with wet batter on it.

As always, to each her own, though. ;)
