I am a novice cook but I would like to try to broil a steak for my husband for dinner tonight. I will marinade the steak befroehand but then broil it for about 4 minutes on each side. With the broiler do you line it with aluminum foil or lay the steak right on the broiler pan? Should I wash the pan first? And how can you tell when the steak is done and fully cooked?
