We're doing a fire truck/fireman theme for ds's 3rd B-day and I was wondering if anyone had any snack recipes that could be applied to this theme. We're getting a cake with fire engine, fireman, and fire dogs on top. His friend's party is 2-5pm so I'm thinking a few snacks and cake. For family we're doing pizza and the rest of the cake so maybe appetizers for that party.

Thanks!

Hmmmm...the only thing I can think of right now are cookies shaped like dogs (dalmatians). You put white icing on the cookies and then top with chocolate chips for the spots.

maybe an activity of making ladders w/ pretzels & mini marshmellows?

Chili comes to mind. :) You can call it 5 alarm chili but not make it spicy. :) Or you could make a dip out of it by mixing it with a cheese sauce or sour cream (cream cheese)?

Here are some highlights from the following link:
-fire hoses and cheese (mac and cheese)
-"Dalmation Chow" which appears to be a version of a Crispix mix (from the firefighter training idea)
-red, orange and yellow foods

Wow, if you haven't sent out invites yet this wording is adorable:
""Get the hoses ready, and plan to douse, the birthday candles at our firehouse. Put on your hats and firefighter gear. Come celebrates Jonah's 4th year.""
