I'm no baker, but I just got some cute animal cookie cutters so I can make cookies with Miriam and Gabriel. My first thought was sugar cookies, but I want to use cinnamon chips. Then, of course, I thought chocolate chip cookie recipe, but all of the recipes say to drop the dough in balls on the cookie sheet.

So, what type of cookies should I make using cinnamon chips and cookie cutters?

TIA,

Sheila

I think shortbread cookies work great. My favorite recipe is from Barefoot Contessa. No matter what recipe you make, you should always chill the cookie in the fridge after cutting but before baking. That helps it retain the shape of the cutter better.

Thanks, Ann! That recipe looks nice and simple, I love shortbread, and I have all of the ingredients. Hopefully it will taste good with cinnamon chips in it!
