Hotel Rec. in Montreal or Burlington, VT?

I'm trying to plan a family vacation for May/June. I think we'll be spending some time in Montreal and some time in Vermont. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations? Oh, we'd also be fine with a B&B (as long as DD is welcome there, of course) or any other type of recommended place to stay!

DD will be 4 at the time of the trip.
