I bought 3 of these a while back when they were $13 each, and gave my 3 1/2 year-old one for Christmas. He LOVES it! I didn't realize how much it could actually help with potty training and making him more confident getting up to go by himself in the middle of the night. Of course, i also wake up a lot to see a glowing blue man 2" from my head at times when he wakes up for some other reason. But they're lots of fun for reading stories under the covers too.

Just FYI, my brother gave my kids something similar from IKEA, where you just push on the top and it lights up and it is soft. They are really cute. I don't know how much they cost, but if you live close to one, it would be worth checking out. They are like little cartoonish bubble creatures, not ppl. I think the ikea ones look cuter...
