cleaning microfiber couches??

A friend is giving us their living room furniture for our new house. They have pets, so I want to "freshen it up" when I get it. I normally use vinegar and water in my steam cleaner to clean carpet, but I'm unsure if it is ok on microfiber material. Does anyone have a suggestion for a childsafe and microfiber safe mixture to put in my steam cleaner to clean my new furniture?

I've used vinegar on mine w/no problems.

I use a 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar with a clean white washcloth to spot-clean our microfiber couch, so I would imagine it would work just fine in the steam cleaner.
