View Full Version : Thoughts and prayers for Toby's best buddy.

She is in the hospital with a severe upper respiratory infection. Her little sister in only 2 weeks old to boot, so the family is going through a lot. Toby is very confused by this but hopefully she will be home safe a sound soon. We are taking them a ton of dinners...clearly with a newborn and a hospitalized 4 year old cooking is not a priority.

Sending good thoughts to them! I remember your posts from just a couple of weeks ago when the baby was born. She sounded like a sweetie and I could tell from your stories that Toby has a great time with her. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

She will be there 1-2 more days but things look good overall. She had some steroids and that seemed to help a lot. We took the parents dinner at the hospital (Toby stayed home with his godparents) and held the new baby so the parents could get eat with both hands. We stayed longer than we expected (we were of the mind to stay out of their hair) because they were eager to have someone to chat with and relax a bit with extra help in the room. Toby made a very cute card and insisted on sending her a rock. :) Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Hi there,
I hope Toby's buddy is feeling and doing much better. So scary in any case, and even harder with a newborn.
