Should this happen?

I boiled my son's new Nuk silicone pacifier this morning, and tonight, my husband handed it to me to look at. It has water inside the silicone. Is this a concern?

We had pulled on the nipple a little to make sure it was securely fastened.

I guess water's bound to get into it. ???

Thanks!
Anne

Yes, water does get into the when you wash them, especially if they are submerged in water, as they would be if you boil them. Bu it is nothing to worry about. Worse case is that it *might* grow mold, but I have never seen that happen. Plus you are supposed to throw them out and replace them every 6-8 weeks, I think. My DD (8 mos) has used a pacifier constantly since birth and they get water in them all the time. Just do your best to squeeze it out and don't worry about it.

DD's do the same thing when I boil them. I just squeeze as much out as I can and let them air dry for a while- it always come out after you squeeze or they use it a little.
