MA frequently unbuckles

I have a MA purchased in 2004. I love it except quite frequently one of the silver metal pieces you put inside the buckle slot comes out for no reason. I'll be driving along and my DD will announce her carseat is unbuckled. I know she is not doing this herself because it has happened when an adult has been sitting next to her. Whenever I buckle her I pull on each piece to make sure it won't come out, but I still happens. Has this happened to anyone? What should I do?

It hasn't happened to me. I would call Britax and let them know. They'll likely send you a replacement part.

Take your seat out and rinse the buckle in fresh tepid water in the meantime, maybe something mysteriously greasy got in there, but call them as soon as possible for a replacement buckle, it's really not A Good Thing (and if your seat was made prior to 7/23/04 it will be part of the adjuster strap recall and you'll get a new one of those at the same time).
