How do I remove the smell of vomit from carpet?

DS #1 was very sick today and while I tried my best to keep him in the kitchen after he ate, after his nap he coughed and puked all over the carpet in the living room. At least he missed his Thomas Train table.

Nature's Miracle. It's an enzyme that eats the biological stuff, including the little traces you can't see. Also good for getting out spit-up and other visible stains. You'll find it at pet stores. Sorry about the yuckies! Hope all is better now.

1/2 white vinegar, 1/2 water. It'll smell like vinegar until it dries, but then you'll smell nothing.

PP have good ideas. Also even after using cleaners I notice that it takes 2 days to really get gone.
