I was in bed trying to nurse ds for his nap and dd came in the room. She climbed up on the bed and snuggled up next to me. Then out of nowhere came this huge hug and a little voice saying "mommy I've got something to tell you. You're the best mommy in the world.":love-retry:

I didn't know what to say except "Why thank you sweetheart, I love you too." And she seemed happy with that. But you can bet your boots I'm still just a big blubbering mess inside.

DS said pretty much the same thing to me last night. He said "you are the best mommy in the whole world". It was very sweet to hear.

Last year he totally took me aback by taking my hand and saying "Thank you for giving birth to me. I love you very much". All I could say back was "I love you, too, dear."
