Especially SAHMs- what do you wear to go to the playground, grocery store and all that good stuff? My cute little sneakers are biting the dust so I need to replace them. I just thought I'd ask here for some inspiration! I am great at picking cute shoes for myself but not necessarily practical ones (I have when my kitten heels sink in the grass at the playground :)).

I think you will find many devotees of the Dansko Clogs on this board--I can walk all day in those things and do well. Not the best for a game of soccer but for all the other stuff, these are the best!

I don't know if I am a clog gal but I sure have noticed the love for them on here. I'll have to try them. :)

Has anyone tried Royal Elastics? These shoes look cute:

I will preface this by saying that I am a shoeaholic...I started wearing Tretorns again after many years when the tennis shoe as fashion statement started (they were very popular when I was in hs) and if you can afford them...Tod's are really comfortable, yet put together enough to be seen in public. I also have worn out several pairs of Merrell clogs (which are enclosed in the back - a plus for me, since I wear orthotics) and ballet flats are nice too.

I would go to a store like the Walking Company, if you have one, or check their web site. Many manufacturers like Merrell, Eco, Dansko have comfortable/practical shoes that look good too. I'm partial to mary jane slip ons and slip-on clogs.

These look cute

I have these New Balance 801 slides (in a different pink and also in black). LOVE them. Where them more than my other shoes. They sell out here whenever the stores get them into stock....

i have these in gray: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7370840/c/126455.html

they are the best pair of shoes i have to wear ANYWHERE. they're comfortable on long walks. they totally mold to my foot, are super light, and are slip on. easy on, easy off. easy to keep clean.

I have a pair of Merrell sneakers that I found at TJ Maxx....I find myself grabbing them EVERY day. :) I also have a pair of black loafers from Clarks Artisan line...more crunchy than I usually go but the softest leather I've ever encountered!

I like Dansko, Ariat and Naot for clog type shoes. For cute sneakers I like Tsubo - cute and a little different!

I joined the Sperry Topsider craze a while back. To me they are a perfect flip flop alternative. They go with pants, jeans, shorts and skirts. I live in a warm climate--so they fit my lifestyle perfectly. I find mine very comfy.

Clarks! They make it through everything a nasty, cold, rotten, icy winter can throw at them and still look good.

I like my Tsubo sneakers for casual wear. Got them on Amazon sale so the price was right, too. And for a little bit more dressed up look, anything from Ecco or Stuart Weitzman. For colder weather I also wear Dr. Martens boots.

I got these for Xmas and have been wearing them ever since.

They replaced my previous Ariat clogs which were 3 years old.

I wear a clog/mule but I've tried to find the sleekest one I could. I found some store brand ones I like and wear them every day. Chunky clogs don't do it for me. I'd like to find a nice looking sneaker mule as well.

dansko clogs changed my life. at least TRY a pair in a store. i like the ones with the back so they won't fall off. they are supposed to flip a little when you walk (like flip flops, i mean) but not much.

i also like keens. i got the mary janes and get tons of compliments. i just wish i had gotten a size smaller because they stretched like crazy and now they are a big too big to be really comfortable. with thick socks or arch supports to take up some of the space, they are a dream. so just know that they run big...

and for summer, rainbow flip flops. again, changed my life.

Love my Eccos! They are like these, but a different colorway.

Also love the Mommy wear at Athleta.com! They always have cool shoes too.

Oh...I want to vote for Eccos and Clarks too! They've both really branched out lately and gotten much less orthopedic than they used to be. Sometimes you can even find them at the Rack. And if you go to Britain you can see the full line of Clarks - it's astounding. They have whole stores devoted to them. It's a toss-up as to which one I love more, they're both so great. And I've converted both my Dad and DH, neither of which are shoe people.

In the winter, Danskos. I also have a pair of Merrell sneaker-type shoes that I love and are super cute, but don't wear as often since they don't have enough arch support for lots of heavy-duty walking.

In the summer, Keens Bali slides. Love, love, LOVE. Can't wait for the weather to warm up again so I can wear them.

I recently got a pair of SoftSpot shoes (http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/27998038/c/35095.html)on sale at the local Discount Shoe Warehouse, and I really love them. These are now my go-to shoes to wear to work now that I am in my third trimester and have been experiencing back pain. I also love Merrells and Dansko. I have been wanting to purchase a pair of Keen sandals for forever but have put it off... baby's due May 1 and I plan to do a lot of walking so maybe it's time to splurge.

I really like my Clarks Privos. I have the Comice style, but there's lots of cute slip-on styles.

I saw these Merrells yesterday and thought they looked really cute. Would've gotten them if my size was available. I got a slightly different style and can't wait to wait them -- sooo comfortable.

I absolutely love my Clark Privos. They are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever had! I love wearing them when I take the kids to the pool or park.

Dansko clogs, eastland closed heel clogs, merrells, keen's mary janes and crocs are my fav. I have weird feet, so I have to have comfy shoes.
