Da Vinci Emily/Kalani crib concerns

Does anyone have the Da Vinci Emily or Kalani crib? Do you like it? I read somewhere that they are too big for standard mattresses. Is that true? Can someone please give me the dimensions of the crib from inside. In a review I read that it isn't deep enough even at the lowest setting, child can climb out earlier.

I really like these cribs and there are many positive reviews but I am now so confused if I should even go with one of these.

I love our crib! We were debating between the kalani and emily styles..and chose the emily, but it's exactly similar to the kalani except for the bar. A standard mattress fits perfectly and it's super easy to put together. The only problem is the wood is so soft that it scratches easily. Be triple sure all staples are taken out of the wood sides before installing, and be sure to take off rings too. What color are you considering?
