I have a friend that is prego with twins and her dr. just put her on bedrest. I want to send her some fun links- and can't find that darned geography quiz. If you have any other cute time wasters, please post them here!
Thanks!

So glad to see the link posted again... for some reason when I finish one game, I have to come back here and link again... I can't re-start YET ANOTHER game from the website... Thanks!

This was my favorite when I was on bedrest:

http://www.freegames.ws/games/boardgames/mahjong/mahjong.htm

there are a lot of other free games there too. And if she doesn't already know about sidelines.org that could be useful too. Good luck to her!

There are lots of addictive, time-wasting games on MSN. zone.msn.com, I think. They have free versions, and you can also pay to download a version to your computer. The pay versions usually have better graphics, more levels, more features in general. I downloaded Jewel Quest when I was overdue with DS, it wasted lots of time! :p I also like Zuma, Bejeweled, Text Twist, and Collapse.

http://www.freerice.com not only is a fun timewaster, but does some good at the same time...

Don't forget that impossible quiz one- don't have the link, but I'm sure you can just google it.

feedthehead.net

There are no instructions, but if she googles, she'll find a bunch of websites listing the 'easter eggs' (tricks/secrets) of what will happen as she keeps clicking the guy's head in certain places.

It's seriously addictive. :)

poissonrouge.com is for kids, but I found it pretty entertaining, myself :P

After discovering the map game on this Board, I've spent *way* too much time on it. I've made it up to Level 11 consistently (after playing it like 25 times), but cannot get past! Too much of those big landmasses of Russia and China (and many other parts of the world) that I clearly don't have a handle on...But hey,it has helped improve my geography - I can find Nouakchout on a map in about 1 second! ;-)

This site has lots of free games...

I've wasted far too much time there! There are so many games, you just have to click on them and check them out. I do like Lucky Balls, 9 Ball Pool, Seal Bounce, and the mini golf games. Best wishes to your friend-how exciting!! :)

I am bumping this gem up today because I really love the geography game! I got a new computer and lost all my bookmarks. Hopefully some other snow bound families will have fun playing the games on here. :) Add some if you want!

I learned about www.sporcle.com (http://www.sporcle.com/) from this board. DH and I play everyday! I love how there are lots of different categories. For some of the music quizzes, DH and I do them together. It greatly improves our results!

My favorite flash-game website is Kongregate (http://www.kongregate.com/). TONS of games of all varieties -- puzzles, shooters, sports, word, strategy, etc.

I also enjoy playing iSketch (http://www.isketch.net/isketch.shtml) from time to time. It's an online, multiplayer Pictionary-type game. Tons of fun.
