I've seen a number of related posts and am wondering if anyone has recommendations for non-plastic infant spoons and other tableware. Also, I'm looking for durable adult drinking glass options - we loved our Tervis but I'm thinking those are out now since they're polycarbonate. Thanks!

You can find stainless steel baby spoons. I taught my DS and now my DD to drink from an unlidded cup using a shot glass when they were right around 12 months. Two have been broken total, but that's with teaching two children now. Correlle gets good safety reviews, is mostly made in the US, is lead free, and fairly difficult to break.

For adults, we love our Klean Kanteens for drinking on the go. They are a stainless water bottle. Some people like Siggs, but I am not crazy about the idea of the lining inside (although they have revised it, because the old one did allow some aluminum to leech when the bottle got hot or came into contact w/ acidic beverages). I haven't tried them but a few people here like the Foogo thermos cups for kids. Klean Kanteen also makes a kid sippy. DS (age 4) uses a small one witha sports cap, and DD uses one with either a sports cap or a sippy top (she's 14 mo.) If you want to go w/ plastic, plastic #5 is currently thought to be one of the safer ones.

FOr just regular adult drinking glasses, anything that is plain glass should be fine unless you are accident prone LOL ;) We had some Ralph Lauren Herringbone patterned drinking glasses and figured out that they were leaded a while ago, but I think that's pretty uncommon.

DS eats with tiny SS coffee spoons I bought at BB&B in a pack of 8. I think the brand is Henkels.

We love the Klean Kanteens for adults and kids.
I reuse baby food jars for snacks and homemade food.

I've been using Corelle (http://www.amazon.com/Corelle-Livingware-4-Inch-Bread-Butter/dp/B000KZ02IA/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1204637008&sr=1-14) bread and butter plates. I also like their Memphis (http://www.amazon.com/Corelle-Livingware-4-Inch-Butter-Memphis/dp/B000KYY02U/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1204637095&sr=1-3) pattern -- it's fun for kids. :)

I think Corelle is molten glass for the most part?

Thanks for all the ideas...I bought DD some of the smaller divided plates, the bread and butter plates and the small bowls at the link posted by bethandcian. Looking forward to getting them and chucking the plastic plates.

Now if I could just find some microwave safe plastic. DD's school won't let me send her lunch in Pyrex :-(
