With DD, we bought the LeapFrog Learning Seat. Its not a "real" bouncy seat as it vibrates and does not bounce at all. Well DD never cared for the vibrations.

With DS on the way, I would like to replace it with a real Bouncer seat that bounces when baby moves as well as vibrates. I don't want to spend too much as we already have a baby swing and we live in a small townhouse.

So I think I have narrowed it to the Fisher Price Sooth-n-Play Bouncer. I like the Safari version from Target. Here are links to both:

I like that it doesn't require a huge number of batteries and its Fisher Price which I hear is the best. I always liked the Kick n PLay but that seems to have been discontinued.

I wonder if I would miss having music. If so, I was checking out the Bright Starts Bouncin' Buddies seat:

or maybe the Summer Infant as its portable:

Anyone have experience with any of these- good or bad?
I am also open to other suggestions as long as I can get it for under $40. Thanks!

we had the FP aquarium bouncer for our second cause we had the FP infant to toddler rocker with #1 and he hated it as an infant. Our little guy LOVED his fishy bouncy seat. http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=2002&e=product&pid=31328

I got the boppy one (boppy bounce in comfort)
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7732464&sourceid=1500000000000003260330&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=7732464

and it looks like it's going to work really well. It bounces, vibrates, playes a bunch of songs plus a bunch of noises (waterfall, heartbeat etc). It seems really soft and cradling. I hope she likes it!

DD has really liked the rainforest FP bouncer. We started out with the infant to toddler rocker which didn't seem to do much for her; when we tried the rainforest bouncer I thought, "ohhhhh now I get why people are crazy about bouncer seats...."

We got a FP model very similar to the Soothe-n-Play. I got it virtually unused from CL. It was about $5 with some other items. For the small amount of time we're actually using bouncy seats (trying to make his head round), it has been great. DD will give DS a little bouncin' time here and there. We have the Infant-to-Toddler one at the other end of the house. DD got a huge kick out of the toddler rocker around 1 when I got it back down and let her actually rock in it.

Thanks mamas, it sounds like the Soothe n Play will serve my purpose or any other inexpensive bouncer seat. It will be used for such short period of time, I can't fathom spending too much on one.
