Crib skirt for a portable crib

Ok, so I bought a wooden portable crib for my bedroom. It is nice, but the mattress support is a bit splintery. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a crib skirt for the portable crib. This would cover the mattress support . But I can't find a bed skirt for a portable crib anywhere, even as part of a set. Any ideas?:loveeyes:

Can you sew???I think why you can't find anything is most portable cribs aren't usually kept in a room permanently and so no need to make them "pretty"...could you try to alter a regular crib skirt or make your own...I've never seen one for a portable crib.

Sorry not much help, someone here will probably know more.
