We need to get a new bed, what are your favorites and why?

DH likes a firm mattress and I like mine soft. It's a perfect bed for a mixed marriage. ;)

My most favorite mattress ever came from Sam's Club. The plush/firm one right there off the rack. We loved that one, but were given a King Kingsdown (Sleep to Live) as a wedding present. It is nice, but that cheap one from Sam's was so nice we just bought one for DD's new bed.

The important thing to keep in mind is that mattress stores work on negotiating - it's like buying a car. If it says $1800, offer $900. You'd be surprised. I've bought a couple of sets of mattresses, and even though I am not a tough cookie when it comes to negotiating, I always get at least a couple hundred off the list price.
