Am I out of luck? I hate the look of the plastic ones and the wicker ones are just not my style. Thinking something like canvas?

TIA!

I have these ones: http://www.target.com/Green-Fabric-Cube-Set-6/dp/B0009GC7ME/qid=1206316351/ref=br_1_1/602-8341648-7864635?ie=UTF8&node=86184011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1

They fold completely flat, which works well for us as we move alot.

Target has a good selection of similar bins, actually: http://www.target.com/Soft-Sided-Storage-Dorm-Furniture/b/602-8341648-7864635?ie=UTF8&node=86184011

I was also going to suggest the target ones - they are smaller than the ones you would buy that fit exactly from IKEA - but they work.

i've bought the plastic ones from IKEA and don't like them. one broke trying to put it together - and the other 4 have cracked or completely fallen apart over the last year. would not recommend them at all!

I use these mesh bins from the container store. The 13" ones fit in the cubbies perfectly.

I really like them and I use them to store dress up clothes, stuffed animals, balls, and soft dolls with accessories in our Expedit, but not for wooden blocks, for instance. (I use the Lekman for those even though I think they're ugly, but a PP was right, they are not sturdy.) The mesh is lighter weight than the Target canvas bins, which have more rigid sides. I like very much that you can see through it, and that you can fold it down when you don't need it. The see-thru aspect is important for me.
