Anyone know about the new Leapster2?

We've been trying to decide whether to get DS a regular Leapster or the L-Max for his birthday next month. Today I discovered that Leap Frog will be coming out with the Leapster 2 this summer. Apparently this newest version will connect online for added play.

Has anyone heard more about this? Should we wait until the Leapster2 comes out and get that one as a late b-day gift?

Drat! It's always when I buy something, a newer version comes out! LOL I wonder if all of the games will be able to be played on all systems? Like how you can play LMAX games on a regular Leapster, but don't get the "bonus" games. FWIW, we have yet to connect our LMAX to our TV since DS received it for Christmas, so I'm not sure we'd be motivated to connect it to our computer either.
