4/3 Edit: Wilbur, the Hansel and Gretel Theatre, and Eloise doll are back in stock but at double the prices or more they were during the sale below.

(OOS Wilbur and the Cow)

2nd EDIT: One of the toys that disappeared is now back in stock - Wilbur the pig. FAO has the Charlotte's Web Plush Collection and you can get Wilbur, Charlotte, a sheep, goose, rat and cow for incredible prices.

The whole collection can be gotten for $28 plus shipping.
It's probably restocked in limited quanitites. I hope every mom who wants to can get a chance to order one.

EDIT: Some toys are now OOS. See below.

Meant to list these toys when an additional percentage-off sale or valid FS code was working, but so many toys are disappearing, I figure the shipping costs are tolerable.

(OOS) Wooden Theatre with Marionettes $50, reg. $130
You get 5 marionettes and backdrops to showcase "Hansel and Gretel"
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=10500

(OOS) Christmas Eloise Rag Doll $12, reg. $45
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=10504

Christmas Madeline Doll $12, reg. $45
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=10896

Penelope Dressable Pup Trunk Set $15, re. $50
You get a plush dog, with 3 changes of clothes/accessories and a carrying case. Pink.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=444

(OOS) Spiderman Crossing $5, reg. $15
By Thinkfun - same company that made Rush Hour.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=8706

Ultimate DVD Game Show Collection $35, reg. $100
Has 10 dvds.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=9944

Ladybug and Bee Costume (Girl's) $15 each
The ladybug has more sizes available and worse ratings which I find confusing because it's basically the same costume in different colours.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=10276

http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=10279

(OOS) Princess Costume Box $26, reg. $95
Have no idea what this is. There's neither pic nor description, just that it weighs 8 pds - and that it seems like a good deal.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=7379

Pirateology Deluxe Board Game $11, reg. $35
Wizardology Deluxe Board Game $11, reg. $35
If you have the books, this might be a nice add-on.
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=9648
http://www.fao.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=9729

Shipping:
up to $15 - $4.50
$15.01 - $50.00 $5.50
$50.01 - $75.00 $8.50
$75.01 - $100.00 $10.50

Ebates and Fatwallet: 3%

NOTE: Please do not list this deal on SD - Slickdeals. The ebayers over there will most likely put many of these toys OOS.

Ooooohhhhhh.... THAT's why the deals run out so fast. I wondered, but had no idea.

Stacy

I listed the rag doll because considering the young ages of our kids, they won't be able to destroy it too badly.

However, if you are looking for a collectible or something for the mamas,
there's also a Madame Alexander Christmas Madeline doll $19, reg. $75.

Thanks!

I took the chance on the Princess costume box. For $25.00 seemed like a great deal with 8 pounds of stuff.

Thanks. I knew it had to be something obvious. :duh: With FAO, does this mean you can still purchase it, but it's just out of stock right now?

Unfortunately, you can't purchase it. There's nothing in stock to buy.

A week ago, Wilbur and the cow went OOS. They came back in stock yesterday. Whether they will be back again in stock is anybody's guess, especially as this collection is exclusive to FAO.

If anyone does see the any of toys back in stock, please let everyone know.

If you ordered the princess costume box, were you happy or disappointed?

Mine arrived in a box that was all beat up, and part of the base of the costume box is broken. But most importantly, it wasn't what I'd hoped it would be (taking a chance given the lack of a description.) I guess I'd assumed there would be princess costumes in the box, but instead it's just a box.

Now I need to decide if there is any reason to keep it. I do have quite a few princess costumes already for DD, but I hadn't really planned on buying a large wooden box that's too small for toys, but so big it would take up space. I think I'm going to call FAO in the morning and see if there is anything they can do about it, or if I can get them to cover return shipping.

Just curious if anyone else had developed a picture of this item involving actual costumes and being more than a box!

dh called me at work yesterday to tell me that a box from FAO arrived.

Oh thanks I said.

Nervously, he laughed and said, I hope it wasn’t too expensive.

Why? I asked since we don’t really ‘share’ $$ - its FAO He said.

I had to giggle and tell him that that box contained gifts for dd, my mom and a friend and was less than $75 shipped.

It is a big box though! I didn’t get to open it last night so I’ll do it tonight.

thanks so much to the OP!

My order came from FAO today but I haven't opened it. I ordered the Princess box too assuming it would contain costumes and not just be a box!

I guess I will be in for a disappointment when I open it tomorrow. Thank goodness I didn't mention it to my dd.

[QUOTE=HallsofVA]If you ordered the princess costume box, were you happy or disappointed?

I definitely thought it would contain costumes. I seem to recall in the description it said that it fit a certain size (4-6). I thought about purchasing it for our goddaughter's 2nd birthday, but decided that the size of the costumes would be too big. You were not the only one confused by the description on this item.

From my (scant) experience, FAO seems to have pretty good customer service if something goes wrong.

As there was neither pic nor descrption, you might be able to wrangle free return shipping and a full refund or something similar.

Crossing fingers!
