So today I was thinking about some of the most useful/wonderful/helpful baby purchases that have been inspired by reading recommendations here. If I hadn't read about them here, I probably wouldn't have bought:

LE diaper bags (Little Tripper, backpack)
pikkolo
Marathon
various Hanna stuff on sale
Corolle doll (babipouce - so cute!)
Corelle divided dishes for DD (planning ahead :)
Oneida baby spoons
California Baby - various

What are some of your favorites?

I just purchased a BOB Revolution last week.

When It comes time for a new carseat, I'll go the marathon route :)

The only majoy things I have bought were the Graco safeseat and the stroller frame. I woulda bought a "travel system" and been unhappy with a smaller infant seat and a crappy stroller had I not bought the book!

The Eurobath.

It is definitely in my top 5 baby products and I never would have bought it if BB hadn't recommended it because the thing is quite large.

The manufacturer says the reclining side can be used until 6 months and the tub itself is good until age 2. Well, my almost 4-year-old can still use the reclining part, which works great for washing her hair. And, I can fit two kids in there at a time (although they are a bit crowded, they think it is great).

Another item I wouldn't have bought but for BB are the Ultimate Crib Sheets. Those things are awesome. I have never changed the sheet on the crib, only the UCS. The ability to get it off quickly and put another one on just as fast comes in handy when they have stomach flu. (Definitely need to have 2 of those).

MBUS and MBUD(now that I have 2 kids)---I absolutely love these strollers!
Britax Marathon and Roundabout
Hanna Andersson clothes---would never know about it if not for this board. Love all their long johns(for my 3 year old DS) and zippers(for my DD who's only 4 months old).
Diaper bags---Skip Hop, Fleurville and Lexie Barnes(my all time favorite)

The Ergo. Definitely my #1 favorite BBB purchase!
Miracle Blanket. My very first BBB-inspired purchase, bought before I was even pregnant with #1.
Peg Perego P3, and now a Phil & Ted's Sport buggy
Ameda Purely Yours breast pump
Sew Cute Boutique's shopping cart cover
Skip Hop Dash diaper bag

Those are the first few that come to mind off the top of my head. Many awesome purchases, only one regrettable purchase (my Zolo ring sling -- DS HATED it).

Club soda for cleaning windows.

Various cloth diapers, but all that is a blur now that we are 2 years past potty training. :jammin:

Maclaren Techno, which I think I only bought because Juilbee got one when she destroyed her Combi Perfect Match to get a new one and when she posted the pictures of her toddler son in it, I asked how she liked it for an older toddler. A few other people, including strollerqueen said it was a good toddler stroller and I found one on Albee for $160 some dollars. I then bought the Maclaren Techno, having previously sworn off Maclaren because of a disaster of a wannabe jogger I bought from them and quickly my stroller buying days were over. :love5:

My washer and dryer choices were first suggested to me by caheinz on the BBBP board.

Inglesina Zippy - thank you, thank you!
Dutailier glider - something I like and use but am not absolutely crazy about, and could have been happy without.
Hanna Andersson clothing - worth the rave reviews, but only if you get them on sale!
Pedoodles - absolutely love 'em!
SIGG sippy cup - take it or leave it

I'm sure there are others but can't think of them right now...

ETA: how can I forget Glamourmom nursing tanks - THANK YOU BBB! Possibly my best BBB inspired purchases.

Others that I heard about or saw elsewhere but researched like crazy on the boards (but have been very happy with!):
ErgoBaby carrier
Educo/Hape wooden kitchen
Kettler trike
Britax Marathon ... and many more!

Most helpful to me has been getting the heads-up about sales, coupon codes, and other great bargains....!

- Britax Marathon (though it took a trip to Australia to see RF tethering to convince me!)
- Thermos Foogo
- Hotsling
- GogoKidz wheels for the Marathon
- Snack Trap!

Oooh, I have a bunch. And I got a lot of it 2nd hand. BBB helped me know what to look for when I was out haunting thrift stores, consignments and garage sales!

the FisherPrice version of the Britax seat
Ultimate Crib sheet
Robees
soft soled shoes like Pedoodles
Zutano clothing. the BEST cotton!
California Baby bubble bath
Measure Up cups from discovery toys

I'm sure there is more!

I've been around here too long and so my list is really long. Some favs:

-Little Tripper diaper bag and Lexi Barnes diaper bag (nice once I had two kids)
-Kinderzeat
-Learning Tower (I am not sure I could live without the KZ and LT LOL)
-Elves and Angels play kitchen
-Kiddio supertrike 4
-balance bikes (fabulous!)
-Playsilks (bumbershoot baby silks are still going strong 3 years later :) )
-Britax (knew about these from my working days, but the BBB solidified this
for me)
-Inglesina (however, neither of my DC have been stroller kids so I could have probably gotten by with a cheapo stroller. DS eventually liked the stroller when he was 2.5-3 oddly, so I'm still holding out hope that my 15 month will one day decide she likes to ride LOL).
-All manner of slings...Maya and Mom and Me pouch were my first two. Ergo, Kozy, and Moby were later additions
-Eurobath/Eurotub
-Hanna clothes, Geox shoes, etc.
-cloth diapers and wipes (although I never intended to CD DS...I'm so glad I did, and before I became a totally crunchy mama, this board really eased me into the idea of cloth as normal and not weird ;) )
-Corsierre tanks
-Dan Zanes, They Might be Giants kid CDs, Lauri Berkner, etc.
-books like Tails and Sandra Boynton's books
-Costco train table
-my overall introduction to attachment parenting, co-sleeping, gentle discipline, nursing on demand/extended nursing, etc.

Apparently I'm like Beth and such an old-timer that I have a long list. I can pretty much copy hers with a few deletions and additons:

-Svan high chair
-Learning Tower (we use the Svan and LT every day)
-Target play kitchen
-balance bikes -- we have the kind that you can add pedals to, and it was absolutely amazing
-Playsilks
-Britax --we have a fleet of Britax carseats and have never regretted a purchase
-Peg Perego P3 (invaluable step for older kid and fantastic hood)
-MBUD all-time favorite double (turns on a dime, comfortable, great basket, etc.)
-Runabout (not the Valco one; we have a double and triple jogging and get asked about them everyday. Every kid wants to ride in the triple, and it gives Mommy a great workout)
--Ergo, Hotslings, adjustable fleece pouch
-Eurobath/Eurotub
-Boden clothes-- all 3 kids look adorable in them and they are super comfy
-Fuzzi Bunz
-Signing Times DVDs for DS
-Pedipeds-- cutest little soft shoes out there, I think
-Magnatiles -- the BEST toy in my kids' arsenal, hands-down
-my overall introduction to gentle discipline and gentlechristianmothers.com[/QUOTE]

It's a big long list, and I really do love it all.

Peg Perego P3
Maclaren Quest
Balance Bike
Safe plastics and better for my family cleaning products (ie vinegar etc)

I am sure there are more that are slipping my mind at this time. Oh, yeah I forgot the Miracle Blanket - the first and best. It's been awhile but it was a lifesaver for the first few months.

Britax RA, MA
Inglesina Zippy
First years feeding seat for $15 instead of a fancy $150 high chair
Kinderzeat
All our diapers (Fuzzi Bunz, Bumkins, Bummis, Lizajane baby, etc.)

Kecchi, Skiphop diaper bags
Hanna, Boden, Naartjie, Tea, Janie & Jack clothes
Kiddio supertrike 4 (thanks Andrea!)
Little Colorado Kitchen
