I'm looking for a wooden or other cool tool set for my 2.5 year old who loves hammers, screwdrivers, and the likes. I don't want a big tool 'shed' or station, as I don't have the room for it. But would love something that would have all these tools.

Thanks

DS has a little set by Melissa and Doug that he enjoys.

We have that same one and DS enjoys it. He is 2.5, but we've had it for a while.

My DS (will be 3 in July) also has this and likes it.

My 2.5 year old DD got the same M&D tool box for Easter and loves it. i think my mom got it at either TJ Maxx or Marshall's for around $7.

Another vote for the Melissa & Doug tool set. I got DS's at Marshall's for about $10, but I think they run about $15 retail - still a great deal!

We had the M&D set, but DC prefers the Little Helper Tool Box by Schylling. The M&D set is not at Grandma's but we use the Little Helper Set daily.

We also have the m&d one, but as DS LOVES construction, we also have this one:

It folds up for easy storage and you can buy an extra set of parts so that he can build even more. I think its great b/c now he doesn't bang on the furniture, etc.

HTH!!

ETA: Sorry, I don't think the link is working. It is the "Wooden Workbench" at www.hearthsong.com

Ds has the M&D set. He doesn't like it that much. He uses the hammer and screwdriver though. I want something bigger and more exciting.
