View Full Version : Another Moonlight Slumber mattress question

I am on the verge of purchasing a new mattress for my 5 month old baby...was going to use my brother and sister-in-laws but it turned out to be too soft.

Anyhow, my question is for anyone who has tried the visco elastic memory foam side of the Moonlight Slumber supreme all foam mattress.
Does it make your baby hot? My son seems to run a little hot and I am worried that this mattress will have him wake up uncomfortable hot.

I think I may have laid on a tempurpedic mattress at the mall once and thought it was hot (and I tend to be cold). I don't like to be hot when I sleep so I am sensitive to this issue and want my baby to be comfortable.

Also if I go for the mattress without the viscoelastic side, will the plain foam be hot too, hotter than a coil mattress? If so what would you recommend for us, knowing that we want to use the mattress as soon as possible, ie very little airing out time.

I am open to other brands besides MS but want one that is safe from the outgassing etc.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
