I received a postcard from Stride Rite today. They are having their buy one, get one half off sale starting on April 1st. I think it lasts through the 13th.
This is great timing for me, since DD needs new shoes!

HTH!

Do you need a coupon or code for this sale or is it an automatic deal with the purchase of two pair? Will be needing some new shoes for DS soon.

I received the notice as well, I read over it and it did not seem to indiicate a coupon was required. In the past I know I've received the deal without the coupon, too.

Does it also apply to the SR outlets?

The notice I've got says:

Offer valid at participating stride rite stores only. Not valid at stride rite outlet stores or striderite.com. Purchase any full-priced footwear item and receive 50% off the second full-priced pair of equal or lesser value. Offer excludes sale and clearance product and cannot be combined with any other special offers, coupons or prior purchases. Cannot be applied to gift certificate or gift card purchase. Sales tax does not count toward qualifying amount. All styles may not be available at all stride rite stores. Offer valid for in-stock merchandise only. Consumer pays all applicable sales tax. Offer valid until April 13, 2008.

No coupon is required.

I want to know if your Stride Rite stores are total zoos during this event. I've never bought shoes at the sale. Alek and John each have 2 pair of shoes which is good. Do they have sandals out now? I could do a pair of sandals for each of them or get one more pair velcro shoes each.

Hi there,

I just purchased a few pairs at the outlet the other day. They were only offering tennis shoes as a BOGO 1/2 off. The bootery stores (full price) are the only ones offering all styles if I am correct.

Hope this helps! :)

I went to the outlet today, and they said all the "athletic" shoes were BOGO half off. I ended up getting a couple pairs of mary jane looking tennis shoes, which were included in the sale. Two pairs for $30. Not bad.

I couldn't find a photo to attach...sorry.

I went today and they had sandels. They also had additional shoes that they did not have 2 weeks ago. The spring stuff is in and it is a good time to get shoes for all. I bought a pair of tennies and got sandles for 18 dollars. I had to but tennies anyway, time to stock up.

PS it was pretty empty when I was there.

Premium Outlets, the new ones on 1-4 or both?

The prime outlets (the news ones off of I-4):

http://www.primeoutlets.com/cntrdefault.asp?cntrid=1077

Stride Rite's #: (407) 363-4606

I do't know about the premium outlets - sorry. But I really really love the new prime outlets - they have every store I could want lol (gymboree, tcp, carters, coach, ann taylor, bali, and the list goes on and on!!). Have fun shopping!!!

Our outlet had sandals a few weeks ago when I was there, I can't speak to the BOGO sale or not, though.

And to answer a PPer I went to to one SR around 10 am the morning the sale started and we were the only ones there. LOL. So no, not a zoo. I think a good key is to find an SR that has the high-end Euro shoes and buy them during this sale! None near to me had Euro sandals so we were out of luck since Sandals are the current struggle.

Amazon has a few select stride rite shoes on sale - some as much as 70% off if you can find it in the right size/style. Prices range from $10 - $20 for the cheapest pairs.

50% - 70% shoes:

I was at the Albertville Outlet Mall in MN yesterday and all tennis were BOGO 1/2 off. She said the sale was until 4/14 and is once a year.

She also said that if you guess on size (if you were looking for future seasons) and its too small/too big, keep your receipt and bring it in for an exchange. She said it's 30 days to get a $ refund but there is no expiration to do an exchange. And then she said, I really shouldn't tell you that. So I think I'll be going back for more! :)

I went to the Watertown, MA outlet yesterday and was very disappointed. The selection of shoes that was included in the BOGO sale was very slim, with very few sizes available. I did end up getting DS a pair of sneakers for $15 from the clearance shelf and a pair of sandals for $19.99, but I might be taking them back because at second look they seem a bit girly :)

Oh, and the place was a total zoo, my head was spinning. The woman in front of me in line, nearly forgot one of the pair of shoes she bought and then forgot her credit card.
