Does anyone know what this product is called? It is a Teddy Bear that makes a heartbeat sound or "womb sounds."

Does anyone love it? Anyone use it as a child's "lovey?"

We had one and my younger DS used it for a long time - for sound not lovey. I think it was called Mama bear something. I really liked it and felt it helped him fall asleep/soothe. I liked it better than another sound machine we had for 1st DS. Didn't seem to eat batteries.

HTH a bit.

I had one, passed down from my sister so it had to be at least 8 years old. It was called a Womb Dog or something ( I think it was a dog rather than teddy bear). I thought the sound was rather eerie and DS didn't take to it either!

We got one, in new condition from a neighbor (whose sons didn't like it), and didn't like it either.

Pretty freaky, a little odd - eerie, as a PP said.

We got one as a gift and it really frightened DD. The one we have called is Womb Sounds Mommy Bear.

The moms in my due date club gave it a thumbs down.

We had a similar womb bear for DD. Worked like magic for her. Ours had some kind of sensor in it that when she stirred loud enough when sleeping the womb sound machine turned on for a few minutes. She nearly always calmed down and fell back asleep. We took the noise maker part out of the bear and strapped it to the crib rail. DD never used it as a lovey.
It didn't however have any affect on DS. He could have cared less about it. We now have the Dex sound machines (bought at Babies R Us and Amazon) in each DCs room. That seems to do the trick now.
