NYC moms--what should I wear on a trip to the city next week?

Today it's 80 degrees here in Dixie and I'm wearing a skirt, tee, and sandals. However, I'll be in the city next week, which is suppose to be in the 50s and cloudy. I don't want to look like a spring chicken, so what should I wear for a couple of days of shopping and museum hopping? I'm specifically concerned about shoes. Is is too late for boots?

Definitely a tough call. I live here and can't decide what to wear on a daily basis!

I'm wearing dress boots today, fwiw. I don't think they'd be terribly out of place. Keep an eye on the forecast as you get closer to your visit though...we're supposed to be warm-ish for the next few days. I find accuweather.com to be pretty accurate.

Layers will be your best bet, especially if you're going to be in and out of museums and stores.

Not in NYC here but I have deemed boots out of season for me here on the East Coast. Ballet flats would be good.
