stupid rotten state park website

I'm trying to figure out a good started park for us this summer. I'd like a cabin to start off with. Preferably something with airconditioning at night. But I'd also like to be able to swim perhaps and see the stars at night. So far the websites are not cooperating very well at all! Either that or I'm just a complete moron at this at 1:46 in the morning and should just go to bed. I think I'll go to bed.

I'm trying for something in missouri or illinois in the st.louis metro area. Lake of the ozarks is a bit far for us. I'd like to stay within a 2 hour drive so if things implode on themselves we can just go home. we'd also consider carlyle lake in illinois but their websites are the one's driving me batty. Why-got any suggestions?

Try posting in the lounge asking for help from people in those states. The locals usually know where to find the better stuff.

Actually, Lake of the Ozarks isn't that far and Tan Tara (sp?) has a fabulous indoor waterpark for the kids.
