If anyone comes across any pouch (hotsling) or ring sling (maya or zolo) deals (discontiued fabrics, etc.), please post. I recently went and found my sizes and would love to get one of each for the coming baby. I love the fabrics of the zolo wrap, but cannot justify spending almost $100. I would love to get a hotsling as well but not if I pay full price for both. I'm new to this, so am not on a lot of email lists to find out about specials. TIA to anyone who sees something and posts!

I'm not sure what kind of sling this is... But thought I'd let you decide.

I rec'd the orange Joel Dewberry double sling as a gift and it is amazing---and I always receive a TON of compliments on it. They sell for $60 on this site: www.9in9out.com and are handmade by a SAHM in New Mexico. They are exactly like a Zolo or Rockinbaby sling but MUCH less expensive.
Hope that this helps!
(Oh, and the woman who makes these is so pro babywearing that she'll figure out your budget and make one according to what you can afford!)

Is this the one you're talking about? It's $30, but I can't figure out the difference btwn that and the other $60 ones. Why is a double sided sling more expensive? More fabric?

I saw that Baby Snazz has 10% or more on hotslings on the babywearer e-mail that I receive. I've never ordered from this website, so I can't say how the service is.

I have a sling from here and it's very comfortable. She has extremely affordable options, as well as pricier ones. I have a silk ring sling of hers, which was the only way I could afford to try a silk one.

Is this the same Kiwikids that was recently a topic of complaint in another forum?

ETA: This is the thread. I would love to get that price, but not if it will turn into a nightmare.

Sally,

Thanks for posting this.. I would love to get a hotslings for that price but if the compay have a bad rep like that it's not worth all the trouble. Let me know if you find a good price on the hotslings.

Check out www.BabySlingBargains.com and www.babyslingoutlet.com

These are sites that have exactly what you are looking for. Also, check out FSOT or the Vendor FSOT on ww.thebabywearer.com
That is where I learned about the above sites.

the Zolo ones are gorgeous, but you can definitely find a WAHM one for WAY WAY less. I think with Zolo you're really paying for the name and the material. Ebay has moms that sell slings, as does MDC.

I am doing a group order for a online mom's group that Im on. We are order from happyslings.com and we can get any ring sling/mei tei/pouch for 50% off. I only want to keep it open for a week since I dont have lots of time to put towards organizing it. So if you want info, just email me and I will give you the details. Its a good deal, IMO.

I'm not familiar with the sidecar sling but it seems to have excellent reviews and is now 50% off for about $31.48 shipped.

Use 24801717 for FS code.

I have a hotsling and several slinglings. The slinglings are just as nicely made, if not better and her customer service is wonderful. She has an offer buy two get the third one free (One, for you, one for Daddy, and one for you:). I also agree with PP to check out the Thebabywearer.com.

I don't really recommend zolo pouches, as they aren't sized by the inch. And some of the Zolo fabrics can be really hard to adjust for new ring sling wearers (I have 5).

Beth

Try ordering from www.toocutebabyslings.net

Only $25 (plus about $6 for shipping) And you get to pick out your own fabric. It's a mother of 4 (or 5?) in Oregon who makes them. It is a hotsling without the outrageous price. $25 for cotton & $30 for stretch material. The owner makes and ships from OR within 24 hours of order being placed. She is VERY helpful. I spoke to her via email several time before ordering.

Karin

Thanks everyone for the very helpful suggestions. I looked at everything and there were so many great choices, it was hard to decide. I bid on a hotsling in a super cute shabby chic fabric on ebay, and got it for $30, $37 shipped. Not an amazing deal, but I knew what my size would be and loved the fabric. I'm still going to look for a ring sling though.

Thanks for the tip on the Zolo. I loved the look of the fabrics, but they did seem "stiffer" than the maya. If they're hard to adjust, then that's no good.

Just to let you know, my group order on www.happyslings.com is closing on Friday, so if you would like to buy one please email me for info. We're getting 50% off, and some people are using RME for payments and getting $25 credits for signing up. SO some slings are FREE and some are very very cheap. I believe you also get $10 for each referral... so you can sign up your SO or friends/family. Anyway, I've bought a bunch for myself and few for baby showers. I like her stuff and she has lots of patterns.

HTH someone. I have all the info if you send me an email. And like I said, Im not accepting orders past Friday.

I was at Target yesterday and came across a hotsling for $27.+ and was surprised that it was that low. You might want to call around any stores near you to see if they have any.

Hope you find what you are looking for. I bought a Moby wrap for this baby and am LOVING it! I use it everyday... around the house, grocery shopping, any errand really. She absolutely loves it and is snug as can be. Makes this mama happy!
