I am curious as to what exactly a "pumpkin fairy" is?

yup, i was outed a bit back, i'm officially in my second trimester now. sam will be a big brother in october. hmm, well the pumpkin fairy is what my best friend (a true halloween fanatic) calls the bringer of october cheer and good spirits (like a santa claus for haloween). so i guess it's a bit of an inside joke? it started with my comment that i'd be as fat as the jolly pumpkin fairy come the pumpkins in october as my way of outing to her, and it just kind of stuck.
