Hello all,

I'm trying (over time) to get rid of our plastic toys (because of phthalates, etc.). But I've noticed that a lot of polyester baby toys (such as the Whoozit) list "plastic stiffener" in the materials list on the label. Anyone know what this is, and if it's safe?

Thanks!
Rachel

The plastic stiffener is underneath cloth. So I don't think it matters until the child tears through the cloth and is sucking on the plastic itself.

And if they tear through the cloth the toy is probably bound for the trash anyway.

That makes sense. Thanks.
