Hello everyone,

I'm confused about whether or not Avent sippy cups
are now considered "safe", plastic-wise.

I have seen the Avent Magic Cups listed on a few
of the "BPA-Free" or "Safe Plastic" lists, both here
and elsewhere on the web.

On the Avent America website, though, it sounds as if
they are still defending their use of Bisphenol-A:

Did I miss an Avent press release, maybe?
Or am I just confused about the different safety concerns?
When did these sippies move from the "not safe" to the "safe" list ?

Thanks very much for your help with this...I know I am woefully
behind on this issue, but I am determined to catch up!

According to them, it sounds like the sippy cups are fine.

You didn't miss a press release. Avent just refuses to acknowledge that there may be a problem.

the Avent Magic Cups (sippy) are bpa free. avent however still uses bpa in other products including their baby bottles.
