Has anyone been successful removing ink from their sofa/upholstery? I'm desperate but want to be sure that I won't do more harm attempting to remove the ink.

Thanks!

what kind of fabric is it?
where did you get the couch from?
call the company first and see what they recommend.

if it is ballpoint ink, an aresole hairspray might work.

my story:
bought a couch at rooms to go -
Microsuede fabric -
had the couch for 2 weeks when DS took a black SHARPIE to every piece of the furniture.... not just a couch... the chair, ottomons, every cushion!
Rooms to Go had a dry cleaning solution they gave me when I got the furniture - it seemed to get most of the sharpie out - I had to go to the store to get more - if you know where to look, you can see some of the sharpie - but only if you know where to look.

We have covers on our sofa that we could remove to clean when DD1 took a pen to our couch. I used these directions:

And they did a pretty good job. No worse than the rest of the couch, at least!

If it's microfiber, you'll be ok. DS wrote all over our big recliner in pen once, and I used mainly water, but also a little Purell to get it out. It came out 100%. I was totally amazed.
