In honor of Earth Day -- Can we talk composting?

I think we are ready to take the step--but I am no sure were to start-- make a bin, buy a bucket, buy an autmatic turning one....

What has been your family's experience?

Any great resources to get us started?

Then, check with your local government -- many localities give away or sell cheap plastic compost bins ($10-$20 for a bin that can cost $100 retail).

Thanks so much for book recommendation... I got it from the library and finished it last night--- clear, concise and funny to boot!

So I got a bin, some bags of soil and a bag of brown leaves (from a friend) and I am ready to go!
